The laughter made a slight twitch of his eye take place. He was so glad his words could be taken as a joke. At seeing the plate of food go down, it was all gone and over with. For now. For now, there was food to eat.
He looked down at the shoes again and then to the plate of chicken before picking up the chopsticks provided. Once Reiji had decided to sit, he scooted away ever so much. What was this sharing being mentioned? He didn’t even get his own plate after that?
“You don’t got an extra plate?” Well whatever, he was gonna just make his own then. Out of the table. So over went the chopsticks as he started picking a few pieces off the plate and laying them on the table. Now he could eat in some kind of peace. Sort of.
A piece of the food was taken to his mouth. Good as always, he couldn’t complain one bit.
“They look like old man shoes.”
He would much rather use the table than share a plate with him? He should be offended, but it’s just so Ran Ran that it amuses him. An awkward laugh leaves his lips as he can only watch in awe, fingers brushing along the plate.
“Geez, you’re going to make a mess. Plus, you didn’t actually think I was going to make you use the table to eat, did you?” He lifts his plate and – ta da! – there’s another plate underneath.
“Heh, aren’t you impressed? Man, I’m good. Put your food on here.” He places the plate down but next to the empty one, handing it over to him. “Of course, you have to clean up the spot when you’re done! Heheh.” It’s the least he can do anyway.
One of his brunet eyebrows twitch from the remark about his shoes, reaching to grab his chopsticks to split the piece of chicken into a smaller piece. “Ran Ran, you’re so mean.” His tone is coy and playful, pretending to be offended with the pout on his face. “They’re not old man shoes! They’re cool – like me!”
